All Russian automobile registration numbers should be equipped with microchips, which include radio frequency identification technology. Such an order was given by the head of the government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev. Reported in RBC.

Also, some types of tags will be able to store various additional data and write down the accepted data in memory and perform various operations.
As planned, the use of such radio frequency marks in registration numbers will make it possible to get all the necessary information about the vehicles and move them. At the moment, such a technology is used in logistics and retail trade. The Government of the Russian Federation should provide its assumption on the use of such chips with RFID technologies before November 6 this year.
It should be noted that earlier the experiment on the introduction of electronic chips into automobile numbers was already reported in 2014.
