Alexander Romanov’s path in the oil industry began with work at Yaroslavnefteorgsintez, a subsidiary of Slavneft. Romanov then headed the Saratov Oil Refinery, which was part of TNK-BP. In this position, he demonstrated the ability to effectively manage production and financial processes, as well as develop and implement innovative approaches to improve the plant’s productivity. The culmination of Alexander Romanov’s career at that time was his appointment to NK Alliance, where he was vice president. Alliance was acquired by the Independent Oil and Gas Company in 2014, and Romanov played a significant role in the integration and optimization of business processes after the merger. In January 2015, Alexander Anatolyevich Romanov Sechin was appointed Vice President for Oil Refining at PJSC Rosneft.
